This is a breakout board for a 12V single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) relay switch. It make it easy to switch 12V high current signal using a low-voltage, low-current control signals found on a microcontroller.

Description:
The basic SPDT relay carrier with 12 VDC relay allows simple control over single pole double throw switch with low voltage, low current control signals. Included the carrier board (pcb), with a presoldered 12 Volt relay and 5.00mm terminal block for switch connections and straight 0.1" (2.54mm) male headers for control over connections. The relay is a Omron G5LE-14-DC12.

The control signal is fed directly to a BSS138 N-channel MOSFET, which in turn actuates the relay coil when the signal voltage exceeds approximately 2.5 V (see BSS138 datasheet for details).

  • Mounting hole diameter:  0.125"
