This is a simple breakout board for the 5-way tactile switch. It has built in pull up resistors on each of the 5 switches (Up, Down, Left, Right, and Center) so all you need to do is hook up the 5 different outputs to your microcontroller, and power the board. The outputs will read LOW when the switches are pressed, and HIGH when released. If you need a good general purpose input to your microcontroller, this is a great little board.
