This development board uses the popular Atmega328 IC preloaded with the Arduino bootloader. The board comes with presoldered header pins. The pins are 0.1" (2.54mm) spaced to make working with breadboards simple.
The breakout board also has a built in mini usb connector (and a surface mount FTDI chip) to make programming a cinch. The small board also has a built in ICSP connector incase you want to use an AVR Programmer, along with 4 LEDs, (RX, TX, PWR, and L which is a user controlled LED).
