Description:

The Energy Shield is an Arduino shield and breakout board designed with one simple purpose in mind: to help innovators everywhere power their projects without being tied to a wire. The Energy Shield is a combination of a lithium-polymer battery, a robust DC-DC boost circuit to increase the battery voltage to 5V, a 3.3V regulator, and a current sensing fuel gauge chip. The Energy Shield can be charged via USB, 5V to 24V DC adapter (center +), or a solar panel with regulated maximum power point voltage. It can be charged while seamlessly powering your project.
The Energy Shield library can be used to easily communicate with the fuel gauge to monitor the battery voltage, current, state of battery charge, and IC temperature via two wire interface (TWI/I2C).
