...where a bunch of geeks got together to make other people's ideas come to life.
Secret Labs has just released this new version of the Netduino! This is the Netduino 2, an open source platform which features a powerful STMicro 32-bit microcontroller clocked at 120 MHz! It has the same layout as an Arduino, which means you can use all our shields as well as others on the market with this board.
The Netduino 2 packs 192KB of code space and 60KB of RAM. It has built in hardware peripherals like UART, PWM, I2C, 12-bit ADC and DAC, and is ready to interface with whatever you throw at it. That includes Arduino R3-style shields, since Netduino 2 adds two GPIO over its predecessor.
Unlike the Arduino, the Netduino is programmed using the .NET Micro FrameWork. Visit the getting started page for more information on how to get started with the Netduino.
Full technical specifications can be found here on the Netduinos home page.
