The Lilypad ProtoSnap is the next generation of wearable electronics, designed by Dr. Leah Buechley in conjunction with Sparkfun. All the components on the board are connected together with thin traces inbetween breakaway points. This means that you can program, test, and develope your code without a breadboard. Once your project is complete, you can break away all the individual parts of the board and sew them into your project!
The Lilypad ProtoSnap Board combines the LilyPad Simple with other LilyPad components like a buzzer, a vibration motor, an RGB LED, a button, a switch, five LEDs, a light sensor, and a temperature sensor. The main board uses an Atmega328P microcontroller running at 8Mhz and supports lithium battery charging. All you will need to start prototyping with this board is a 5V FTDI Basic USB To Serial Converter and a lithium battery.
