The is a breakout board for the Si1143 Proximity/Ambient Light Sensor by Silicon Labs! It is a low power, reflectance based, infrared proximity sensor with an I2C interface. When used in conjunction with three IR led's this board can be used for touchless control of your next project!
The board has outputs for three IR led's which are used to detect the presence of an object. By using the three LED's sequentually, the user can detect movement between the three zones created by the LED's. The sensor can also double as an ambient light sensor to detect lighting conditions.
Note: The pin spacing between the two sets of headers are not compatible with a breadboard. We used the LED outputs with jumper wires to prototype on a breadboard and it works great.
