This is our standard voltage (5-18 V) push button power switch. It uses a latching circuit that is triggered by the on board push button. It acts like a power switch, kind of like in your mobile phone. Unlike your mobel phone, the board will turn on with a push and turn off when the button is held for about 2 seconds.

Description:
This is our standard voltage (5-18 V) push button power switch. It uses a latching circuit that is triggered by the on board push button. It acts like a power switch, kind of like in your mobile phone. Unlike your mobel phone, the board will turn on with a push and turn off when the button is held for about 2 seconds. The LED inside the button will illuminate letting you know the board is on. The board also has a jumper on the back which is used to select the auto on/off feature (board will be on automatically when power is applied). Jump "1" to the middle will set it to auto on or jump "0" to the middle will set to auto off.


You simply press the push button, and the board will provide power to your project using the built in Dual N and P Channel Mosfet (IRF7319). This is different to using a mechanical switch since it gives your micro controller the power to shut itself off. This is a great feature, since you can have a timer programmed to trigger the shutdown feature and save power by controlling the "OFF" pin.

Note: The button comes soldered to the board but you can select between four different color LEDs.
