If you are working on an electronics prototype, there is a good chance that you are using a surface mount part on your board. Laser cut stencils are used to evenly distribute solder paste to all surface mount pads on your board.
They are made of 0.10 – 0.15mm thick stainless steel sheets, and are framed for easy handling. Stencils are great for creating prototypes and cutting costs during mass production. The precision possible when using a stencil makes them viable when using fine pitch components and integrated circuit boards – such as Atmel, ST micros, Texas Instrument (TI), PICs, Nordic Semiconductors (NRF), among other technologies that Jaycon work with on a regular basis.
